Join us for outdoor adventures where stories and nature intertwine, inviting families to explore, wonder, and discover together — all in French!
Designed for children and their parents, these experiences offer a playful, hands-on way to discover the wonders of the winter landscape while experiencing French naturally.
Ages: 2 to 6 years old
Day and Time: Saturdays · 2:00–3:00 PM
or Tuesday · 11:00 AM–12:00 PM
Location: Public park nearby, in Renton - The exact location will be shared upon registration
All French level welcome
What to expect
Each one-hour session combines:

A French story walk: Follow a story that unfolds along the trail, with characters, places, and discoveries guiding our journey.

Nature exploration & investigation: Observe, wonder, ask questions, and investigate the natural world together.

Play & movement: Enjoy playful activities inspired by the story and the discoveries we make along the way.

French immersion: Experience French throughout the adventure, with opportunities for children and grown-ups to listen, participate, and try speaking French.
No previous French experience is needed!
a one-hour outdoor experience
Each session lasts one hour and unfolds at a child's pace. It's much more than a walk! Along the way, we'll pause to explore, play, move, investigate, and discover how the story connects with the natural world.

Each month's adventure is offered on two different dates, with the same theme and activities on both dates. Families can simply choose the date that works best for them.

No prior French experience is required for children or parents.
What to bring
Our adventures take place outdoors, embracing the wonders of the season. We head outside in typical winter weather when conditions are safe.
Please dress for the weather and bring:

A waterproof jacket and rain pants

Waterproof shoes or boots

Warm layers

A change of clothes, if needed

A filled water bottle and a small snack, just in case
