Frequently Asked Questions

Who can benefit from our enrichment programs?

Our small group classes are designed for children aged 4 to 12, and are open to all levels of French. Learning goals are adapted to each child’s age and language level, ensuring a personalized and enriching experience. We also offer one-on-one classes tailored (afterschool program) to better meet the needs of older students. These sessions can provide support with what children are already learning in their regular school in French SEL classes, or help French-speaking students strengthen their reading and writing skills. Lastly, we also offer French sessions for adults, in small groups or one-on-one, depending on your needs and preferences. The focus is typically on conversation, but we can also define personalized goals together during our first meeting—whether it’s travel, professional vocabulary, grammar support, or something else.

What’s included in the price of a session?

Learning a language is a long-term investment, and I strive to make each class enriching, joyful, and worth every moment. Our French classes go beyond vocabulary and are not traditional lessons filled with workbook exercises. They are immersive experiences rooted in nature, creativity, and meaningful connection. With a background in early childhood education and French immersion, I design each session to support both language development and overall growth through play, stories, songs, hands-on exploration and science discovery. Whether in a small group or one-on-one, your child receives personalized attention in a nurturing environment. The rate reflects the preparation, materials and supplies, and care I put into each lesson to ensure that children not only learn French but truly love learning it.

How families can get involved and support their children's learning?

To support continued learning at home, families receive Newsletters with vocabulary lists, songs, book titles, and detailed session summaries, including language skills practiced, activities completed, and photos of your child’s experience.

Where do our French courses take place?

Activities take place both indoors and outdoors. A secure, enclosed outdoor space allows children to explore freely and safely.

What should your child  bring for the class?

Families are asked to provide proper outdoor clothing (raincoat, rain pants, boots, hat or cap) to allow children to comfortably explore whatever the weather. We also ask you to bring a pair of inside shoes so that we can keep our indoor space clean. For half day sessions, children can bring a snack to enjoy during our break.
